Private Guided Snowshoeing Overview
Canyons Resort has a very unique network of snowshoe trails hidden among our 4,000 acres of spectacular skiing. Every guided tour was created with a unique destination, experience, or adventure in mind. All tours include snowshoes; trekking poles and gondola pass; available everyday 10:00am & 2:00pm, beginning November 28th.
Our family snowshoe trails are gentle, easy to access and allow parents and their children to slow down and bask in the simple solitude snowshoeing together affords. We have moderate trails to elevate the heart rate while meandering through aspen and pine forests leading guests up to our Alpine Lake with spectacular views of the Wasatch and Uinta Mountain Ranges or choose to snowshoe up to our Lookout Cabin Restaurant for a gourmet lunch experience with stunning views from the deck overlooking Canyons Resort. In addition, we've created experiences for the really adventurous guests that will deliver a challenging workout with a good possibility of spotting a moose or; a moonlight snowshoe tour with exclusive access to our mountain after the runs close for the day; join us for a private guided snowshoe tour and let us exceed your expectations!
Family Tour
This adventure is geared toward families looking for a gentle tour and a fun way to spend a few hours off the beaten path at Canyons Resort. Take a break from skiing and spend some time with your family in the pristine aspen meadows. Make snow angels, build a snow fort, or bask in the simple solitude with your children. Although the snow will eventually melt, the memories you create will last a lifetime!

Alpine Lake Tour
Explore a side of Canyons Resort not seen from the groomed trails; your guide will lead you through an aspen and pine forest up to our snow covered Alpine Lake. Take in the spectacular views while you catch your breath and feed the tiger trout; this will be an experience you won't soon forget!

Lookout Cabin Tour With Gourmet Lunch
This trail is a local's favorite during the summer months, tucked deep in an aspen grove through beautifully hidden terrain and offering majestic views. Embark on an adventure with a seasoned outdoor guide and enjoy a well earned gourmet lunch and stunning views at the Lookout Cabin.

Black Diamond Tour
If you're looking for a challenging workout this is the snowshoe tour for you. Join one of our mountain guides for an intense workout featuring magnificent views of Canyons Resort and Park City. This tour is perfect for anyone looking for a black diamond challenge!

Moonlight Tour
Bask in the moonlight while enjoying the peaceful and serene mountain setting, all while getting some great exercise, join us on a Moonlight Snowshoe Tour at Canyons Resort! This tour begins with a gondola ride up to mid mountain where you'll don snowshoes and a headlamp to access stunning views, few are lucky enough to experience. After conquering the terrain, guests are encouraged to join the Western BBQ dinner at Red Pine Lodge. Advanced reservations required for Western BBQ dinner.

All snowshoe tours meet at the base of the Red Pine Gondola in the Resort Village. 24 hour reservations highly recommended; we do not guarantee the ability to accommodate late reservation requests. For Reservations and additional information, please call Central Reservations at 1-866-604-4171.
Snowshoes, trekking pole, gondola ticket, and headlamp, when necessary, will be provided. Water, snack, and a camera are recommended for your snowshoe tour. Please dress for the possibility of changing winter weather conditions. Reservations and appropriate footwear are recommended. Footwear is not available to rent but can be purchased at Canyon Mountain Sports in the resort village. Canyons Resort reserves the right to cancel guided tours anytime for weather, safety, and snow conditions.
