THE ULTIMATE MOUNTAIN EXPERIENCE FANTASY CAMP

Canyons Resort Ski & Snowboard School, in conjunction with former U.S. Ski Team coach Phil McNichol, today introduces the most comprehensive and unique winter sports fantasy camp series ever: The Ultimate Mountain Experience.

The Ultimate Mountain Experience pairs athletes with impeccable resumes in every Alpine and snowboard discipline with Canyons Resort, the fourth-largest ski and snowboard resort in North America and known for its incredibly diverse and challenging terrain.

“Never before has an entire generation of world-class athletes called one resort home for a experiential program,” said McNichol, who coached the U.S. Ski Team from 1997 to 2008.  “Throughout this season and beyond, The Ultimate Mountain Experience invites our guests to ski or ride with icons in the sport – a dream experience on and off the slopes.”

Less than three years ago, Kaylin Richardson (Alpine – combined) and Graham Watanabe (Snowboardcross) were chasing gold medals at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. Now retired, both will share the secrets of their sports with Canyons guests in jam-packed programs including on-snow and après-ski activities.

Another generation will recall Holly Flanders tearing down the downhill course at Lake Placid (1980) and Sarajevo (1984) or Doug Lewis who took home the Downhill bronze medal at the Bormio World Championships (1985).  Regardless of discipline, The Ultimate Mountain Experience is the most elite and broad roster of athletes ever assembled in winter sports for guests of one resort to learn from.

The Ultimate Mountain Experience consists of signature fantasy camps and private bookings.  Multiple athletes will guide fantasy camps on January 11-13, 2013 and March 8-10, 2013.
