Utah Olympic Park

Utah Olympic Park

Utah Olympic Park is cradled by the Wasatch Mountains, adjacent to Canyons Resort.  Venue for 2002 Winter Olympic bobsled, skeleton, luge and nordic ski-jumping events, UOP also boasts a 750,000 gallon freestyle training pool into which skiers and snowboarders hurl themselves all summer long.  Public activities include guided tours, two award-winning museums, Saturday freestyle pool shows, two different ziplines, the Quick Silver alpine slide, and the heart pounding "Comet" bobsled ride. For more information and pricing visit Utah Olympic Park website.

The Facility
The Park is open to the public and admission is FREE.
Public activities and sport programs are available for fun and recreation as well as the serious athlete.
XTREME Zipline
If you are looking for the World’s Steepest Zipline, you can only find it at the Utah Olympic Park. Fly down the Xtreme Zip at 50 miles per hour along the K 120 ski jumping hill. Experience the sensation of ski jumping as you zip down a cable in a harness to the base of the ski jumps.

ULTRA Zipline
A shorter version of the XTREME zipline, the ULTRA starts near the top of the UOP freestyle skiing hill, adjacent to the K120 nordic ski jumping hill.

"The Quicksilver" Alpine Slide
This European-style alpine slide is the first of its kind in North America. It is a state-of-the-art steel track and will allow riders to weave down a narrow course that concludes at the base of the K-64 ski jump. Experience what it's like to slide down a track like a luge, skeleton or bobsled athlete!

"Comet" Bobsled Rides
Feel the rush as you speed down the Olympic track in a 4-person bobsled. A trained pilot will take you and two other passengers through 15 curves, reaching speeds up to 70 mph, and pulling close to 4 G's of force. The "Comet" bobsled ride is not for the faint of heart. Billed as the most intense minute of your life, this ride will give you a very good idea of what Olympic bobsled athletes experience day in and day out.

The Flying Ace All-Stars Saturday Freestyle Shows
High-flying action as Olympians and national team athletes put on a 25 minute freestyle aerial show for spectators every Saturday during the summer. This choreographed show with music will leave you breathless as skiers and snowboarders will soar up to 60 feet in the air and perform acrobatic feats before landing in our 750,000 gallon splash pool. This is a great activity for the whole family.
