Children's Ability Levels
| Children's Ability Levels for Skiing | |
| Red Level | Never skied before. |
| Yellow Level | Difficulty stopping and turning on green circle terrain or requires aid in stopping. |
| Green Level | Stop and turn easily on green circle terrain; primarily skis in a wedge. |
| Blue Level | Able to ski all groomed blue terrain in a controlled manner with a parallel finish to the turn. |
| Black Level | Able to ski basic parallel on all blue and easy black terrain. Learning to ski powder, moguls, crud and alternative terrain. |

| Red Level | Never snowboarded before. |
| Yellow Level | Able to side slip without falling. |
| Green Level | Able to link turns and control speed on all green circle terrain. |
| Blue Level | Able to link turns and control speed on all blue square terrain. Learning to ride switch. |
| Black Level | Able to control speed and turn shape on black diamond terrain. Learning to ride powder, moguls and crud. Able to ride switch on blue terrain. |
