Blankets, picnics and chairs will not be allowed in the concert venue until 4:00pm. Dogs are not allowed in the Ski Beach concert venue.
And due to the popularity of these concerts, we would appreciate carpooling, taking public transportation or riding your bicycle to the show!
On August 10th, the band SWIMM will be the opening act, followed by our headliners, Hockey.
SWIMM is the swirling and whirling combination of Chris Hess’s guitar, keyboard and voice and Adam Winn’s drums and harmonica; this duo is bringing a fresh sound to their art as SWIMM with their debut Feel EP to be released on April 23rd. They write, record and play live with several friends including Zac Sullivan and Gavin Little (Damio Suomi & the Minor Prophets), Jared Bowser, Jonathan Berlin (SUNBEARS!) and Spencer Petersen (Eyes Lips Eyes). Riding high on a psychedelic wave of rock ‘n roll distortion, the EP’s first single “Too Old” has debuted on MTV Hive 4/1. SWIMM has created a shoegaze-influenced sound on Feel EP that contains both acoustic, gauzy tracks with a intimacy that will draw you in like “Darkness of Love,” as well as breezy, danceable songs like “Feels.” Fans of both will not want to miss this one!
Hockey is an American indie rock band from Portland, Oregon and have been compared in their sound to bands such as The Strokes and LCD Soundsystem. They appeared on Later with Jools Holland on April 24, 2009. The song "Work" is on the soundtrack for MLB 09: The Show. A remixed version song "Too Fake" is featured in a JCPenney commercial, while the original version appears in the video games NHL 2K10 and Saints Row: The Third. On October 16, 2009, the band played "Too Fake" on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. In 2010, Hockey played the Sony Bloggie Stage on the final day of Lollapalooza in Chicago's Grant Park.In late 2009, the band was chosen as of one Beyond Race Magazine's "50 Emerging Artists," resulting in a spot in the publication's #11 issue (with Bodega Girls and J. Cole on the cover), as well as an exclusive Q&A for the magazine's site. In 2011, their song “Too Fake” was featured on the British television show Misfits. In January 2012, the band announced that they have started recording their upcoming album, and hope to have it finished by summer.

Special Notes on Dogs and Chairs:
For the safety and enjoyment of all our guests, we kindly remind you that dogs are no longer allowed in the concert venue.
Due to the steepness of our new concert venue, guests may bring their own chair to our concerts provided that the chair height is 9" or less. “Low back” chairs are therefore allowed, but camping chairs and chairs with sharp legs are not allowed. There are no exceptions to this rule and guests bringing chairs that do not meet this requirement will be asked to take them back to their vehicles. Chairs meeting the height requirements are available for purchase at Canyon Mountain Sports.
