What’s up Wednesday – Opening Day

Hey everyone – today I’d like to introduce a new theme for Wednesdays on the blog.  If you can’t tell already, we are calling it “What’s Up Wednesday”.  We want to use this as a friendly reminder of all the awesome things going on at Canyons Resort for the following weekend.  Make sure to check back every Wednesday  for updates!!

Unless you have been living under a rock, you must be aware that Friday is the day we’ve all been waiting for: Opening Day.  Get your skis/boards tuned, your stoke level up, and head up to Canyons Resort to get those first turns we’ve all been dreaming of since April!

We anticipate that Red Pine Gondola, High Meadow, and Saddleback will be spinning.  There may even be some powder off The Pines. Our Winter Zip Tour will be running again for that insanely thrilling experience, and we’ll have Red Pine Lodge and Red Tail Grill open for some much needed fuel (I’m talking about the margaritas and PBRs of course…).

This year we’ll have a photographer shooting early risers.  If you’re one of the first lucky ones on the hill, be sure to check Facebook for your sweet mug by the afternoon. Help us tag you and your friends!

Ticket pricing will be $49 for adults, $28 for youth/senior for a full day, or half day (starting at 12:30pm) $37 for adults and $22 for youth/senior.

If you and your friends are out and about taking turns and enjoying the day, be sure to share the love and tag us across the social media channels! We want to see your photos and share them too.  Post them on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/canyonsresort) , and mention us on Twitter (@TheCanyons) and Instagram (@CanyonsResort). Use the hashtag  #CanyonsResort to share the stoke.

Most importantly though, don’t forget to bring some canned food for the less fortunate. Friday is the first day of our push to collect 9,990 lbs of food for Christian Center of Park City! More than 5,000 families will call upon the resources of Christian Center this winter, so bring your contribution, and don’t forget to be thankful for all with which you’ve been blessed.

I personally cannot wait to see you all on Friday.  In the mean time, have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!!

About Caitlin

Growing up in sunny Los Angeles, Caitlin thought she was always meant to be a beach bum . . . until she got her first sun burn. Feeling the pull of the powder, Caitlin has been skiing in Park City since the ripe old age of 4, and moved here full time after a 4 year stint in Boston for school. As the Communications Coordinator, Caitlin lives and breathes Canyons Resort, which works out well because she is passionate about two things: skiing and food.
